29th National e-Governance Conference 2026 Begins in Jaipur: CM Bhajan Lal Sharma to Inaugurate India's Largest Digital Governance Summit

India Prime TV Bureau | 29th National e-Governance Conference 2026 Jaipur is set to become the national hub of digital governance for two days as the 29th National e-Governance Conference (NCeG 2026) will be held on July 1–2, 2026, at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC). The conference will be inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and will revolve around the theme “Viksit Bharat 2047: AI-Enabled, Data-Driven & Secure Digital Governance.”

The prestigious national event will bring together more than 2,700 delegates, 200+ national and international speakers, 1,100 startups, 400 academicians, senior bureaucrats, policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and technology experts. The conference aims to shape the future of governance through Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital innovation, secure infrastructure, and data-driven public administration.

The conference is jointly organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and the Government of Rajasthan. It is regarded as India’s premier platform for sharing best practices, innovations, and future strategies in e-Governance.

Chief Minister to Inaugurate Conference, Launch Digital Services

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will formally inaugurate the conference on July 1, in the presence of IT & Communications Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore.

During the inaugural ceremony, the National e-Governance Exhibition will also be opened, showcasing innovative digital governance initiatives from across the country. Several citizen-centric digital services launched by the Rajasthan Government will also be unveiled during the event.

Senior Officials Present at the Press Conference

The pre-conference press briefing was addressed by V. Srinivas, Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, who highlighted the significance of the event and outlined the conference agenda.

Officials stated that this year’s conference would provide a national platform for discussions on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Governance, Cyber Security, Data-Driven Administration, Citizen-Centric Public Services, and Emerging Technologies.

Digital Governance is Transforming India: Chief Secretary

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance” has significantly transformed public administration through digital technologies.

He noted that technology has greatly improved the accessibility, transparency, accountability, and efficiency of government services while reducing the gap between citizens and governance.

According to him, achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 will require greater adoption of Artificial Intelligence, secure digital infrastructure, and data-driven decision-making systems, making this year’s conference particularly significant.

42 Exhibition Stalls to Showcase Digital India

More than 42 exhibition stalls will display innovative digital governance initiatives from the Central Government and various states.

The Rajasthan Government will showcase several flagship digital platforms, including:

  • Jan Aadhaar
  • e-Mitra
  • Rajasthan Sampark 181
  • Rajkaj
  • Raj Kisan Saathi
  • Smart Governance Initiatives
  • State Data Centre

An IT Platforms & Building Blocks Handbook will also be released during the conference.

National Platform for Startups

One of the major attractions of the conference is the Rajasthan AI Builders Pitch-a-thon, organized in collaboration with Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

Around 1,700 startups have registered for the competition. The top three winners will receive cash prizes of:

  • ₹1,00,000 – First Prize
  • ₹50,000 – Second Prize
  • ₹25,000 – Third Prize

Winning startups will also receive exclusive mentoring and training support from ISB Hyderabad.

National e-Governance Awards 2026

The conference will conclude on July 2 with the National e-Governance Awards 2026 ceremony.

The closing ceremony will be attended by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, who will present:

  • 16 National e-Governance Awards (Gold & Silver)
  • One Special Jury Award

The awards recognize outstanding innovation and excellence in digital governance across India.
