Kasganj Plane Crash: Woman Trainee Pilot Injured After Training Aircraft Crashes in Uttar Pradesh

India Live News Updates

By India Prime News Desk  Kasganj Plane Crash A trainee aircraft crashed in Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district on Monday evening, leaving a woman trainee pilot seriously injured. The aircraft, identified as a Cessna 152 (Registration: VT-AFB), was on a solo training sortie after taking off from the Dhanipur Airstrip in Aligarh under Chetak Aviation Flying Training Organization.

According to preliminary reports, the aircraft lost control during the flight and struck high-tension power lines near an under-construction highway before crashing into a nearby field. Local residents, police, and emergency responders quickly reached the crash site and rescued the pilot from the wreckage.

The injured trainee pilot was initially taken to the District Hospital in Kasganj before being referred to a hospital in Agra for advanced treatment. Doctors have stated that her condition is stable and she is currently out of danger.

Authorities said the aircraft was extensively damaged in the accident. Fortunately, the high-voltage transmission line involved in the incident was reportedly de-energized due to ongoing highway construction work, preventing a major fire or explosion.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash. Investigators are examining the aircraft’s technical condition, maintenance records, engine performance, flight logs, and communication between the pilot and Air Traffic Control (ATC).

The crash site has been secured by local police while aviation safety officials continue collecting evidence. A detailed technical investigation is expected to determine whether mechanical failure, operational issues, or other factors led to the accident.
