Maharashtra: Mumbai Man Dies After Falling Into Open Manhole
Heavy rainfall and severe waterlogging in Mumbai led to the death of a 60-year-old man after he accidentally fell into an open manhole in the Chandivali area.
Two others narrowly escaped electrocution in rainwater-logged areas as civic authorities intensified emergency operations across the city.
Arunachal Pradesh
Although no deaths have been officially reported, 21 people were injured due to landslides and rain-related road accidents triggered by continuous rainfall.
Several highways remain partially blocked while restoration work continues.
Uttarakhand
Continuous rainfall has disrupted the Badrinath and Kedarnath pilgrimage routes, with debris and landslides affecting movement.
Authorities reported only minor injuries, but precautionary restrictions remain in place at several vulnerable locations.
