A major accident occurred in the Vaishali district of Bihar during the early hours of September 10, 2026, when a massive launcher structure of an under-construction 6-lane bridge suddenly collapsed. The incident took place near Jalalpur village, under the jurisdiction of the Lalganj police station area. Following the collapse, chaos erupted at the construction site, prompting immediate action from nearby villagers and local authorities. Rescue teams, along with local police and medical professionals, rushed to the spot to launch an emergency operation.
Rescuers utilized gas cutters and JCB earthmovers to cut through the mangled steel structure and pull out the trapped laborers. All the injured workers were initially rushed to the Lalganj Referral Hospital and Hajipur Sadar Hospital for primary treatment. Due to the severity of their injuries, the critically wounded workers were later shifted to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for specialized medical care.
