A tragic road accident claimed the lives of three young men in the Aravali Vihar area of Alwar, Rajasthan, on Saturday (September 12, 2026). The incident took place late at night near the Moti Nagar drain curve by Kali Mori. The three victims, who were childhood friends residing in the Kala Kuan locality, have been identified as Jitendra Singh alias Chhotu (22), Yuvraj alias Yuvi (21), and Himanshu (22).
Among them, Jitendra and Yuvraj worked in the hotel industry, while Himanshu was a professional bhajan singer.
The collision occurred between 10:15 PM and 11:00 PM while the three friends were travelling together on a single motorcycle to visit a relative. A speeding, uncontrolled car rammed into their bike from behind with immense force. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was completely mangled, and both vehicles crashed into the adjacent drain wall, demolishing a 5-foot-high concrete structure. The car’s airbags deployed instantly, and one of the youths was thrown directly into the drain due to the momentum. Upon receiving the alert, the police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies, and moved them to the Alwar District Hospital mortuary.
The case has taken a critical turn as the victims’ families have rejected the possibility of a routine accident, alleging deliberate murder rooted in a past rivalry. According to the family members, Yuvraj had an ongoing dispute with a local youth named Sachin Meena and his associates, and the car involved in the crash is registered under Sachin’s name. Following the collision, 4 to 5 occupants of the car abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The grieving families launched a protest outside the hospital on Sunday morning, prompting the police to register a formal murder case (FIR) and initiate a comprehensive investigation into the incident

Fire broke out in a three-storey building in Swaroop Nagar, North-West Delhi

A massive fire broke out in a three-storey building in Swaroop Nagar, North-West Delhi, on Sunday (September 13, 2026), leaving two people dead. The fire erupted in a factory-cum-warehouse located in Street Number 2, which was used for manufacturing and storing judo dresses, boxing gloves, and highly inflammable rexine and rubber materials.
The spreading flames and dense smoke triggered immense panic among the residents of the adjacent building. In a desperate bid to save their lives, several individuals jumped from the roof and windows of the building, resulting in injuries to at least six people, including women and children. The injured have been identified as Priyanka (28), Vanshika (8), Vani (5), Santosh (33), Tanvi (8), and Vijay. They were rushed to a nearby hospital, and authorities confirmed that they suffered injuries from the fall rather than direct burns, and are currently out of danger.
The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) received the emergency call between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Firefighting operations faced severe challenges due to the extremely narrow lanes and the presence of combustible rubber and rexine inside the warehouse. However, 15 fire tenders were deployed to the scene and successfully brought the blaze under control after hours of intense effort. Local police and administrative officials have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.

Dhanbad Illegal Coal Mining Accident: Two Dead, Several Feared Trapped

Major Accident During Illegal Coal Extraction in Dhanbad

A major accident took place in the Baghmara-Katras area of Dhanbad district, Jharkhand, on Sunday morning, September 13, 2026, during illegal coal extraction.

The incident occurred near Keshalpur Kumhar Patti, close to Battu Babu Bangla, under the Ramkanali OP area, when the roof of an illegal mining site suddenly collapsed.

Two people have been confirmed dead after being trapped under the debris, while several others are feared to be buried. The death toll could rise as rescue operations continue.

Accident Occurred While Collecting Coal for Firewood

According to local sources, a group of local residents, including men and women, had gone to the illegal mining site near Kumhar Patti Road on Sunday morning to collect coal for use as firewood in their homes.

While people were cutting and collecting coal inside the mining area, a large section of soil and coal from the roof suddenly collapsed. Several people were caught beneath the heavy debris.

Two Dead as Rescue Operation Continues

The collapse triggered panic in the area, with people rushing to help those trapped under the debris.

Two victims died while being taken to hospital after being pulled out from the collapsed area. One woman was also seriously injured and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Local residents immediately began rescue efforts using available equipment, removing soil and debris in an attempt to locate and rescue those who may still be trapped underground.

Several People Feared Trapped, Locals Angry

According to residents, a large number of people were present at the site when the collapse occurred. Several people are therefore feared to remain trapped beneath the debris.

The possibility of the death toll increasing cannot be ruled out.

The incident has triggered tension and anger in the area. The Katras-Baghmara coal belt has long been associated with illegal coal mining, and several fatal accidents have previously been reported from such mining sites, raising questions over safety standards and enforcement.

The latest incident has once again brought the issue of illegal mining and the risks faced by local residents into focus.

Ghaziabad Kaushambi LPG Cylinder Fire: 15-Year-Old Girl Dies, Father Seriously Injured

A tragic fire accident occurred late Saturday night, September 12, 2026, in Bhaupur village, Balak Ram Colony, Lane No. 3, under the Kaushambi police station area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

An LPG cylinder caught fire inside a rented house on the fourth floor of a multi-storey building while the family was preparing dinner.

The incident resulted in the death of 15-year-old Aanchal, while her father, 45-year-old Guddu Mahto, suffered serious burn injuries while attempting to rescue his daughter.

Gas Leak Trapped the Girl Inside the Room

The incident took place at around 8:30 PM on Saturday when the family was preparing dinner.

According to officials, a gas leak from the LPG cylinder triggered a major fire. As the flames rapidly spread through the room, Guddu Mahto, his wife and their son managed to escape towards the balcony.

However, their 15-year-old daughter Aanchal was left inside the room and became trapped in the flames.

Fire officials said Aanchal may have wrapped herself in a bedsheet in an attempt to protect herself. The bedsheet reportedly caught fire, causing severe burn injuries.

Father Jumped Into Flames to Save His Daughter

Seeing his daughter trapped in the burning room, Guddu Mahto rushed into the flames without caring about his own safety.

He attempted to rescue Aanchal but was himself caught in the fire. His face and hands suffered serious burns.

Meanwhile, police and the fire department were informed through the emergency number 112.

Firefighters Reached the Building on Foot Through Narrow Lane

A fire brigade team from Vaishali immediately rushed to the location.

However, the lane leading to the building in Balak Ram Colony was extremely narrow, preventing large fire tenders from reaching the house directly.

Given the urgency of the situation, a team led by Chief Fire Officer Rahul Pal carried water buckets and basic firefighting equipment and proceeded on foot through the narrow lanes to reach the fourth floor.

Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control and prevented it from spreading to neighbouring areas.

During the firefighting operation, the LPG cylinder also reportedly exploded.

Girl Dies in Hospital, Family Originally From Sultanpur

Following the accident, the seriously injured father and daughter were rushed to Yashoda Hospital in Kaushambi.

Doctors declared Aanchal dead during treatment. Her father, Guddu Mahto, remains under medical care and is currently reported to be out of danger.

According to the police investigation, the family originally belongs to Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh and had been living in the rented accommodation in Ghaziabad for livelihood.

ACP Indirapuram Suryabali Maurya said that the police are taking necessary legal action in connection with the incident.

The Jaipur Municipal Corporation election results will be declared on September 14, after which the political contest for the Mayor’s post is expected to intensify.

The key question is whether the BJP will choose an established political face, a new organisational loyalist or a candidate representing a broader social-balancing strategy.

The Vishnu Lata episode of 2019 remains particularly relevant, as the BJP rebel had defeated the party’s official candidate and subsequently became Mayor with Congress support.

With the Mayor’s post open to the general category this time, the caste equation, councillor numbers, Independent candidates and the BJP leadership’s final choice could determine who occupies Jaipur’s Mayor’s chair.
