There’s no reason older residents can’t be using artificial intelligence.
That’s the thinking of a group of Eastvale teenagers.
The Roosevelt High School AI for Good Club held an early May session to offer lessons in applying AI to everyday life. The club plans more similar events, member Emily Saldana wrote in an email.
The group’s May 5 AI Tech Workshop at the Eastvale Community Center helped residents “learn how to confidently use new AI as well as technology using AI,” Saldana wrote in an email.
Attendees learned how to employ artificial intelligence for “real-world needs,” she said, including using ear buds and phones for transcriptions and closed captioning, using AI with photos for birthday cards and home decorating and how to use ChatGPT’s advanced voice feature.
The club is planning a second session but the date has not yet been finalized.
Those interested in attending can email the club at aiforgoodeastvale@gmail.com or text their name and email address to Saldana at 951-314-4400.
