Eligible businesses must have fewer than 50 employees and annual gross revenues of less than $1 million.
The USDA is alerting the public two application deadlines are approaching. Applications for the Strategic Economic Community Development Grant are due by 4:30 p.m. MDT on June 15. Applications for the regular Rural Business Development Grant program are due by 4:30 p.m. MDT on June 30.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit corporations, state government agencies, towns, communities, institutions of higher learning, federally recognized tribes and certain rural cooperatives organized as private nonprofit corporations. Individuals and for-profit businesses are not eligible to apply directly.
