
India Prime | Jaipur – The Rajasthan IAS Officers’ Association has expressed profound grief over the untimely and unfortunate demise of senior IAS officer Alok Ji, who was serving as the Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) in the Rajasthan government. In a condolence message issued by the Association, he was described as a competent, dedicated, and dutiful officer whose passing is a significant loss to the entire administrative framework.
In a tribute signed by Association Secretary Dr. Samit Sharma, it was stated:
“During his government service, Alok Ji worked with honesty, impartiality, and commitment, setting an example for all of us. Even in challenging situations, his balanced perspective and decisions made in public interest distinguished him as a remarkable administrator.”
The message further highlighted that Alok Ji was not only an efficient officer but also a sensitive, gentle, and humble individual. His style of work, simplicity, and ideology left a lasting impression on everyone.
The Association emphasized that Alok Ji’s administrative contributions and humanitarian approach would remain an inspiring example for future generations. Prayers were offered for peace to the departed soul, and the Association extended heartfelt condolences to his family, wishing them strength and courage in this difficult time.
A Distinguished Administrative Career
Alok Ji, a senior IAS officer from the 1993 batch of the Rajasthan cadre and serving as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department, passed away on Monday in New Delhi. He had been unwell for some time and was undergoing treatment in Delhi. His untimely demise has cast a pall of sorrow over the administrative community.
Massive Turnout at Condolence Ceremony
At his Delhi residence, senior officers from the IAS, IPS, and other central and state services, along with officials and staff of Rajasthan government offices in Delhi, paid their respects.
On behalf of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Chief Minister’s Additional Chief Secretary Shikhar Agarwal and Principal Secretary Alok Gupta offered floral tributes to the late Alok Ji.
Cabinet Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of State for Energy Hiralal Nagar, Chief Secretary and Rajasthan’s Resident Commissioner in Delhi Sudhansh Pant, along with senior IAS officers Akhil Arora, Anand Kumar, Bhaskar Sawant, Aparna Arora, and many other prominent figures attended the funeral at Lodhi Road crematorium.

Several distinguished IAS officers posted in the Government of India, including Tanmay Kumar, Naresh Pal Gangwar, and Roli Singh, as well as former Rajasthan Minister Yunus Khan and retired officers like Sunil Arora and Shrimat Pandey, also paid floral tributes and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Late Alok Ji was not only serving as the Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) in the Rajasthan government but also held the position of Resident Commissioner in New Delhi. His career spanned several important departments in both the central and state governments, where he rendered exemplary administrative service.

A condolence meeting to honor the late Alok Ji has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, at Bikaner House, New Delhi, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
