
India Prime TV International Desk — Egypt Bus Accident A tragic road accident occurred in Egypt’s South Sinai Governorate on the morning of Wednesday, September 2, 2026, leaving 16 people dead and 28 others seriously injured.
According to an official statement issued by Egypt’s Ministry of Health, the horrific accident took place when a passenger bus suddenly lost control and overturned near the Al-Sada area on the Dahab-Nuweiba Road.

According to preliminary local investigations and media reports, the bus driver was allegedly travelling at high speed, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, after which the bus overturned.
As soon as authorities were informed about the accident, Egypt’s Ministry of Health activated its central operations room and dispatched 20 ambulances to the accident site for rescue and emergency medical assistance.
All 28 injured passengers were given immediate first aid and transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Sixteen people reportedly died at the scene.
Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar instructed hospitals to remain on high alert and directed medical teams to provide the injured with advanced medical care, essential medicines and necessary medical supplies.
The area, located near the coast of the Red Sea, is a popular destination for tourists from around the world and is known for its natural beauty, mountains and diving attractions.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the accident, including the reported role of excessive speed.
