
India Prime | Jaipur | IAS Alok Passes Away A sad news has emerged from Rajasthan’s administrative services. Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Alok, has passed away unexpectedly. He had been suffering from cancer for some time and was undergoing treatment. He breathed his last late at night at his residence in Delhi. His last rites will also be conducted in Delhi.
Alok was a senior IAS officer of the 1993 batch.
In his three-decade-long administrative career, he served in key positions including Collector of Bundi, Sawai Madhopur, Bikaner, Kota, and Udaipur. He was nationally recognized as an expert in energy and infrastructure matters. His sudden demise has sent a wave of grief through the bureaucracy and the entire state.
Condolences from Chief Minister and Other Leaders
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed deep sorrow, stating:
“It is deeply saddening that Alok is no longer with us. He was a capable and exceptional officer. His contributions to the energy sector and other areas in the state will always be remembered. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family.”
The Chief Minister had also inquired about Alok’s health during a recent visit to Delhi and was regularly monitoring his condition.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also expressed condolences on social media platform X:
“The sudden demise of senior IAS officer Alok is extremely unfortunate. He was an outstanding officer. His services will always be remembered.”
