According to police officials, Dr. Priyanka, the victim’s wife and an ophthalmologist by profession, was reportedly found sitting in another room using her mobile phone when officers entered the apartment.
Child in Critical Condition
Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar noticed that the injured child was still breathing and immediately transported him to a private hospital. The boy remains in critical condition and is undergoing intensive medical treatment.
Wife Detained for Questioning
Police have taken Dr. Priyanka into custody for questioning. Investigators said her statements have been inconsistent and contradictory.
