
India Prime TV Bureau | Jaipur | July 1, 2026 Jaipur Becomes India’s Digital Governance Capital For the next two days, Jaipur has become the national capital of Digital Governance as policymakers, IAS officers, technology experts, AI innovators, startup founders and industry leaders from across India gather at the 29th National e-Governance Conference (NCeG 2026) being held at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC).
Organized jointly by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, and the Government of Rajasthan, this year’s conference revolves around the theme:
“Viksit Bharat 2047: AI-Enabled, Data-Driven and Secure Digital Governance.”
More than 2,700 delegates, over 200 speakers, 1,100 startups, 400 academicians, senior bureaucrats, technology companies and policy experts are participating in what is considered India’s biggest policy platform on digital governance.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Launches AI-Powered Citizen Services, Showcases Rajasthan’s Digital Transformation
During the inaugural session, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched four major digital initiatives that are expected to reshape public service delivery in Rajasthan.
New Digital Services Launched
- Rajasthan Language Model Training Hackathon
- Smart Rajasthan Project – Automated Citizen Service Delivery Platform
- Rajasthan Innovation Challenge
- e-Mitra WhatsApp Services
The Chief Minister also released the Digital Rajasthan Coffee Table Book, showcasing the state’s digital transformation journey.
Before the inaugural session, he visited the Digital Governance Exhibition and interacted with technology startups and government agencies displaying next-generation digital solutions.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma: Technology Must Reach the Last Citizen
Addressing the national conference, the Chief Minister said technology should never remain limited to convenience.
“Digital governance must become a tool of social inclusion. Every citizen should receive government services with transparency, speed and dignity.”
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Digital India, saying that the Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) Trinity and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) have eliminated middlemen and ensured direct delivery of government benefits.
According to him,
- UPI has transformed India’s payment ecosystem.
- AI, Data Analytics and Cyber Security are becoming the backbone of modern governance.
- Future governance will be transparent, citizen-centric and technology-driven.
Rajasthan’s Digital Governance Achievements
The Chief Minister presented several achievements that position Rajasthan among India’s fastest-growing digital states.
Rajasthan Sampark
The grievance redressal platform now resolves approximately
- 2.5 to 3 lakh public complaints every month.
Bhajan Lal Sharma revealed that he personally monitors complaints received through Rajasthan Sampark.
AI & Machine Learning Policy 2026
Rajasthan has implemented the AI-ML Policy 2026, enabling Artificial Intelligence across
- Governance
- Healthcare
- Education
- Agriculture
- Industries
The state has also launched its
- AI & Quantum Computing Mission
to prepare Rajasthan for future technologies.
Startup Growth
One of the biggest highlights of the conference was Rajasthan’s startup ecosystem.

- Connectivity across 3,200+ Gram Panchayats
- More than 79,000 e-Mitra kiosks providing over 900 citizen services.
AI-Based Recruitment
The state has introduced
- AI-based Photo Verification
- e-KYC
to improve transparency in recruitment examinations.
Cyber Security
The government has also established
- Modern Cyber Labs
- Cyber Range Platforms
to combat cybercrime and protect digital infrastructure.
Additionally,
- More than 25,000 surveillance cameras have been installed at public places and educational institutions.
Round Table with Industry Leaders
After inaugurating the conference, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma chaired a high-level Round Table Meeting with industry leaders.
He said Rajasthan is rapidly emerging as one of India’s preferred destinations for

- Drone Technology
- Geospatial Technologies
He emphasized that Rajasthan has

Data Centre Investment Boom
The Chief Minister announced that Rajasthan has already received
₹43,000 Crore+ worth of Data Centre investment proposals.

- HG Ekayaa
- Niyo Bolt
- Jtudium
He informed that STT GDC has already established an AI-ready Data Centre in Jaipur.
Rajasthan’s Future Digital Roadmap
The Chief Minister outlined several priorities for the coming years.

He invited global technology companies to view Rajasthan not merely as an investment destination but as a long-term innovation partner.
IT Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore: Faster, Better and Wider Governance
Information Technology & Communication Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore said governance has evolved through three stages:
- Governance
- e-Governance
- AI in Governance
According to him, citizens now expect
- Faster Services
- Better Services
- Maximum Reach
He said India’s digital journey accelerated after the launch of the JAM Trinity in 2014 and today the country records the world’s highest volume of UPI-based digital transactions.
Rathore emphasized that Rajasthan is rapidly adopting AI and Data Analytics to make government services more transparent, efficient and citizen-friendly.
What Chief Secretary V. Srinivas Said
Earlier, during the conference seminar and media interaction, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas described digital governance as the strongest pillar of administrative transformation.
According to him,
- Digital Governance has significantly improved transparency.
- Government services are reaching citizens faster than ever before.
- AI, Data Analytics and Secure Digital Infrastructure will play a decisive role in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
- The conference provides a common national platform where governments, industry, academia and startups can collectively shape India’s future digital governance architecture.
He also emphasized that technology must improve accountability while keeping governance citizen-centric.
