India Prime | Crime Desk | YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra Arrested  Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra has been arrested on charges of espionage for Pakistan. On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the Hisar Police presented Jyoti in court, where she was granted a 5-day police remand. According to the Hisar Police, a team led by DSP Jitendra Kumar took Jyoti into custody from her home on May 15, 2025. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) team is currently interrogating her.

YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra ArrestedThe police stated that Jyoti was in contact with Pakistan’s intelligence agencies and was sharing India’s confidential information through social media. Jyoti had traveled to Pakistan three times, which had put her on the radar of Indian security agencies. She visited Pakistan twice with groups of pilgrims and once to visit Kartarpur Sahib.

An FIR numbered 0153 has been registered against Jyoti at the Hisar Civil Lines Police Station under Sections 3 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. According to the FIR, the crime took place on May 16, 2025, between 19:30 and 21:30 hrs, with the information reaching the police at 22:55 hrs on the same day.

Investigations have revealed that during her 2023 visit to Pakistan, Jyoti met with officials of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Evidence, including a mobile phone and other materials, has been recovered, confirming her links with the ISI. The police have taken strict action against Jyoti, and a thorough investigation is underway.

Jyoti Malhotra’s YouTube channel, “travelwithjo1,” focuses on travel vlogging, showcasing her journeys across India and international destinations like Pakistan, Indonesia, and China. The channel has over 377,000 subscribers, and her Instagram account (@travelwithjo1) has 132,000 followers. Her videos include her 2023 trips to Pakistan, where she explored Lahore, conducted a “Ramzan Food Tour,” and visited pilgrimage sites, including a 5,000-year-old Hindu temple. She has also shared experiences like a shikara ride on Dal Lake in Kashmir and a train journey from Srinagar to Banihal.

Recently, one of her videos commented on the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives. Her channel description portrays her as a “Nomadic Leo Girl, Wanderer Haryanvi + Punjabi modern girl with old ideas.” However, following her arrest for alleged espionage activities linked to Pakistan, her videos are now under scrutiny.
